A report issued by Cox Automotive last Thursday revealed that sales of electric cars in the United States surged by 11.4% year-on-year in the first quarter of this year, amounting to almost 300,000 vehicles. In total, approximately 8% of new car sales in the U.S. during the first quarter were electric vehicles, marking a modest uptick from the previous year. Despite facing numerous challenges, Cox emphasized that the U.S. electric vehicle market continues to expand at a robust rate.
