Ralf Brandstätter, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Volkswagen Group China, revealed today that the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show will mark the unveiling of seven global premieres from the Volkswagen Group, alongside the initial rollout of an AI-powered Advanced Driver Assistance System specifically designed for the Chinese market. Among the new models are Audi's groundbreaking all-electric vehicle, the first mass-produced model from the brand built on the PPE platform, and three next-generation intelligent and connected concept cars from Volkswagen. According to Brandstätter's blueprint, by 2027, the Volkswagen Group aims to introduce over 20 electrified models to the Chinese market, culminating in approximately 30 pure electric vehicle models by 2030. He further stated that Volkswagen aims to capture more than 15% of the Chinese market share by 2030, with 80% of these sales coming from new energy vehicles.
