In response to the Xiaomi SU7 highway accident, a Xiaomi spokesperson issued a Weibo post on April 1st. On March 29th at 22:44, a Xiaomi SU7 Standard Edition was involved in a serious traffic collision on the Dezhou-Shangrao Expressway, specifically on the Chiqi section. At the time of the incident, the vehicle was operating in NOA intelligent assisted driving mode. Upon entering a construction diversion area, the driver resumed manual control of the vehicle, yet unfortunately collided with a cement median barrier. Following the accident, Xiaomi promptly reached out to the vehicle owner, arranged for emergency assistance, and collaborated with the police in their investigation. Three individuals lost their lives in this tragedy, and Xiaomi expresses its deepest condolences. The company pledges its full cooperation in the investigation to ensure a transparent and open resolution of the incident.
