On March 26, recent media outlets reported that XPeng Motors intends to introduce at least five extended-range vehicle models, encompassing sedans and SUVs. However, Chen Yonghai, Vice President of XPeng Motors, has clarified that there is a notable deviation in these reports. Earlier, Chairman He Xiaopeng had emphasized that entering the extended-range segment is a strategic move to tap into the global market. XPeng's Kunpeng Super Electric System boasts a pure electric range of 430 kilometers and a combined range exceeding 1,400 kilometers. Numerous automakers are currently actively developing extended-range models, with industry experts predicting that this transitional phase will persist for 20 to 30 years.
