The draft for public consultation proposes that, in the sixth phase of heavy-duty diesel vehicle emission standards, hydrogen fuel engines will adhere to the same test cycle and emission limits as spark-ignition engines. Concurrently, the emission limits for complete vehicles will align with those set for LPG dual-fuel automotive engines. Manufacturers are mandated to ensure that pollution control devices do not introduce new atmospheric pollutants or harmful emissions. Vehicles equipped with vanadium-based denitrification catalysts are strictly prohibited from leaking vanadium compounds. Furthermore, running-in periods for vehicles are not required, and any external devices or adjustments that could affect emission control are strictly forbidden.
