BMW Group and Alibaba have strengthened their strategic partnership to co-create an AI engine leveraging Alibaba's Tongyi Large Model. This engine will be integrated into BMW's next-generation vehicle lineup specifically for the Chinese market. The upcoming BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, incorporating an AI Agent, is designed to elevate the human-vehicle interaction experience and is slated for release in 2026. Since 2015, the two entities have collaborated extensively in digitization, with a focus on avant-garde technologies like smart cockpits and voice interaction. This partnership aims to foster the integration and innovation of AI and manufacturing. Together, BMW and Alibaba will explore the implementation of large AI language models in smart cockpits, offering users a more intelligent and seamless travel experience.
