On March 19, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) published the "Draft for Comments on Special Conditions for X3-F Type Aircraft" on its official website. The draft highlights that the X3-F represents the airborne component of Xiaopeng Huitian's innovative flying car. A spokesperson from Xiaopeng Huitian emphasized that this draft will serve as a foundational guideline for the type certification of similar aircraft, thereby facilitating the certification process for an array of similar vehicles. Regarding the advancement in airworthiness certification for flying cars, the spokesperson disclosed that Xiaopeng Huitian is proceeding with type certification efforts as scheduled, with the objective of completing compliance verification and securing a type certificate by October.
