On March 18, Shenzhen's pioneering autonomous bus route, initially launched in August 2024, smoothly transitioned into regular service, now featuring four operational "AI Bus" routes. Residents can conveniently make free reservations via the "Shenzhen Bus Travel" APP. As of current statistics, these four routes have collectively transported 41,874 passengers, covered a distance of 32,400 kilometers, and maintained a safe operational record spanning over 200 days. Shenzhen Bus Group emphasized that this marks a groundbreaking application of AI technology in urban transportation, seamlessly integrating L4 autonomous driving systems, intelligent dispatch systems, and cutting-edge technologies such as 5G vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) coordination, multi-sensor fusion perception, and high-precision map positioning. This advanced setup enables millisecond-level response to road conditions and precise decision-making.
