On March 17, XPeng Motors issued the 17th edition of the XPeng MONA Answers User Questions, addressing various concerns including the postponement of the March OTA update for the MONA M03 model, enhancements to the HarmonyOS NEXT system version App, and the introduction of quick access keys on the main screen. XPeng Motors confirmed that the development of the OTA content and physical key functionality was completed this week. However, the OTA rollout has been delayed due to a new regulation issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) on February 28, which mandates prior notification and record-filing for significant software modifications. As a result, the physical keys, which must be compatible with the vehicle's software, will now be launched in tandem with the OTA update. This new regulation has impacted the OTA schedules of numerous companies, and XPeng Motors' OTA team is actively engaging with stakeholders and expediting the process to ensure the update is delivered as swiftly as possible.
