SAIC-GM-Wuling's Buick brand has officially named the latest addition to the GL8 lineup: the GL8 LS PHEV. Positioned in the new energy MPV market at the 300,000 yuan price point, the vehicle is anticipated to launch in the first half of 2025. Under the hood, the GL8 LS PHEV boasts a 1.5T plug-in hybrid system, offering a NEDC pure electric range of 111 kilometers. Visually, the new model mirrors the design of the Buick Century seven-seater premium variant, featuring dimensions of 5219×1878×1807 millimeters, a wheelbase of 3088 millimeters, a seven-seater configuration, and optional 17/18-inch wheels. Inside, the GL8 LS PHEV carries forward the design language of the previous-generation ES Lu Zun, equipped with a connected large touchscreen and a through-type floor. In the competitive landscape, the GL8 LS PHEV will contend with rivals like the BYD Xia and the GAC Trumpchi E9 PHEV.
