Recently, a digital blogger claimed to have received a call from the traffic police informing them that Shenyang was conducting a city-wide inspection specifically targeting owners of Xiaomi's latest electric vehicle, the SU7 Ultra. The call reportedly required owners to sign a driving safety commitment letter. The contents of this letter emphasize promises to refrain from illegally modifying the vehicle and engaging in reckless driving.
In response to this claim, the Shenyang Municipal Public Security Bureau Traffic Police Bureau clarified that this was a routine traffic safety education campaign and not specifically aimed at any particular brand. The campaign's primary objective is to enhance owners' awareness of traffic safety. This clarification comes amidst previous incidents involving dangerous driving, particularly speeding, by owners of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, which had garnered public attention.
Following the clarification from the traffic control department, the blogger in question has since deleted their original Weibo post regarding the matter.
