Recently, an incident involving the intelligent driving system of the Zhijie S7 has garnered significant attention. The vehicle's owner alleged that while in intelligent driving mode, the car unexpectedly veered into the green belt without any prior warning, leading to repair expenses amounting to 190,000 yuan. In response, Zhijie Automobile issued an official statement clarifying that at the time of the accident, the vehicle was unable to decelerate because the accelerator pedal had been continuously depressed. Furthermore, the statement explained that the intelligent driving mode was disengaged due to the application of the brake pedal. The subsequent collision occurred as a result of excessive speed (62 km/h) after manual control was resumed by the driver. The company emphasized the importance of reducing speed in advance when navigating turns to ensure driving safety.
