On March 12, the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) reported that Trump announced on Tuesday his intention to purchase a Tesla, signaling his endorsement of Musk's electric vehicle enterprise. Recently, Tesla has been subjected to boycotts and even acts of vandalism. However, if Trump's gesture aims to halt the steep decline in Tesla's stock price, it may inadvertently have the opposite effect, further deterring potential buyers. Dan Ives, a financial analyst at Wedbush Securities, observed that Tesla is increasingly becoming a political emblem associated with Trump and DOGE, a development that is detrimental to the brand's image. He remarked, "It seems beneficial on the surface, but in reality, it is causing harm." Many analysts in the automotive industry attribute Tesla's recent downturn in stock prices and vehicle sales, in part, to Musk's support for Trump and other far-right candidates globally. Recently, Tesla showrooms in the United States have frequently been targeted by protesters, and cars have been vandalized on the streets. To avoid becoming a target of attack, some Tesla owners have affixed stickers to their vehicles stating: "I bought it before Elon went crazy."
