During the Two Sessions, intelligent connected vehicles (ICVs) and new energy vehicles (NEVs) garnered considerable attention. China has achieved substantial advancements in ICV technology, with its industrial framework beginning to take form. However, fostering collaborative innovation across the entire industrial chain remains crucial. The Chongqing delegation urged the government to support the establishment of a world-class intelligent connected NEV industry cluster. The automotive sector is swiftly integrating with artificial intelligence, big data, and other industries, yet there exists ample room for growth in areas such as charging infrastructure and in-vehicle hardware. Deputy Lei Jun proposed enhancing the interconnectivity of charging facilities and standardizing in-vehicle hardware technology protocols. As China's auto exports continue to soar, delegates and committee members have expressed concern over the industry's overseas expansion, emphasizing the importance of upgrading export quality and after-sales services. Deputy Feng Xingya suggested gradually easing import restrictions and refining processes to address the challenge of repatriating defective auto parts sold overseas for testing.
