During the panel discussion at the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee's 3rd Session, Li Shufu, Chairman of Geely Holding Group, highlighted the clear opposition from the Party Central Committee and the State Council towards the policy orientation of "convoluted" vicious competition. He stressed the importance of healthy and orderly competition across all industries, emphasizing that China's economic and social development must be grounded in innovation and sustainable practices. Li Shufu warned that indulging in vicious competition would render industries unsustainable. Instead, industrial development requires a delicate balance between efficiency and innovation capabilities, with the latter anchored in profitability. Asserting Geely's stance, Li Shufu declared that the company refuses to engage in price wars, opting instead to compete on technology, quality, service, brand, and ethical standards. He firmly believes that sustainable development is the only path for enterprises to thrive in a stable, confident, and relaxed business environment.
