On Tuesday, European automaker Stellantis expressed its appreciation for the European Commission's proposal to relax carbon emission targets for vehicles. The Commission announced on Monday that it would grant automakers a three-year period to meet new CO2 emission standards for cars and vans, extending the previously mandated one-year deadline. In a statement, Stellantis welcomed the decision made by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
