Hyundai Motor has unveiled its unaudited K-IFRS consolidated performance summary for both the first three quarters and the third quarter of FY2026. According to the data, during the first three quarters of FY2026, Hyundai Motor's total cumulative operating revenue soared to KRW 140.26 trillion, representing a slight 0.6% increase year-on-year. However, its net profit attributable to the parent company stood at KRW 6.56 trillion, experiencing a notable 22.1% decrease year-on-year. The cumulative operating profit also declined by 17.7% year-on-year, reaching KRW 8.04 trillion. In the third quarter specifically, the company's quarterly operating revenue was KRW 45.11 trillion, showing a 3.4% decrease year-on-year and an 8.3% drop quarter-on-quarter. The net profit attributable to the parent company for this quarter was KRW 1.7 trillion, a 24.6% decline year-on-year. Meanwhile, the quarterly operating profit was KRW 2.68 trillion, up 5.5% year-on-year but down 6.1% quarter-on-quarter. When compared to institutional expectations, Hyundai Motor's actual revenue in the third quarter fell slightly short, whereas its operating profit marginally surpassed forecasts. Nevertheless, the net profit attributable to the parent company was considerably lower than anticipated, primarily due to the influence of tax burdens and non-operating gains and losses. It's worth noting that this brief report did not offer any new performance guidance. The official performance briefing is scheduled to take place on October 29, 2026.
