On October 28, 2026, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology declared that, in alignment with the strategic blueprint laid out by the National Standardization Administration, it had successfully orchestrated and concluded the drafting of the foreign language editions of two pivotal mandatory national standards. These standards encompass the Technical Specifications and Testing Protocols for Automatic Emergency Braking Systems in Heavy-Duty Vehicles and the Safety Requirements for Electric Vehicles. Currently, the ministry is actively seeking input and feedback from a wide array of stakeholders to ensure comprehensive and inclusive standard development.
