On October 23, 2026, Pony.ai, a prominent player in the autonomous driving sector, declared that it had inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with inDrive, a worldwide mobility and delivery platform, and NVIDIA. This collaboration aims to propel the rollout of autonomous driving products and applications. Kazakhstan has been earmarked as the inaugural pilot market, heralding Pony.ai's maiden foray into Central Asia.
As per the outlined strategy, Pony.ai is set to furnish seventh-generation Robotaxi vehicles and its cutting-edge autonomous driving technology. inDrive, on the other hand, will be responsible for platform operations and service management. NVIDIA will contribute by providing autonomous driving computing platforms and bolstering safety system support.
The trio will meticulously assess the execution blueprint for delivering L4 autonomous driving mobility services to passengers in Kazakhstan via the inDrive platform. This evaluation will encompass technical, operational, regulatory, and commercial dimensions. Following the attainment of an accord with the Kazakhstani government, the pilot program is slated to commence initially in the capital city, Astana.
