On October 20, the Bulgarian government announced that Bulgarian companies are set to partner with Tesla to develop three energy storage projects. These projects will have a combined capacity exceeding 2,300 megawatt-hours and will require a total investment of over €350 million. The first battery energy storage site, named Tvarditsa, is projected to begin operations in the second quarter of 2027.
