The First Department of the Equipment Industry, working in tandem with the National Technical Committee on Automotive Standardization under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, has formulated revised drafts of five mandatory national standards for public review, including the "Requirements for Automotive Data Security." The updated national standards outline several fresh stipulations for automotive lighting: With the exception of illuminated emblems, lamp functions (text indicating lamp functions) are strictly prohibited from displaying any characters; turn signals and reverse lights must remain distinct from brake lights and rear fog lights, without any mixing; a specific blue-green light color standard has been introduced for ADS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) beacon lights; variable intensity signal lights must brighten uniformly across the entire light source, rather than just activating or deactivating portions of it; for voice-controlled lights, the location of manual switches must be clearly indicated, and the use of voice and gesture controls for specific lights is strictly forbidden.
