AURA T6 electric vehicle garnered an impressive 33,022 orders within its first month of availability, establishing a remarkable new speed record for the Volkswagen brand. Notably, the LiDAR-equipped variant accounted for over 90% of total orders, with nearly 80% of purchases coming from first-time Volkswagen customers—a testament to the model’s appeal among new buyers. The ID. AURA T6 officially entered the market on September 20th, offering four trim levels priced between RMB 129,900 and RMB 166,900. Designed with a spacious and modern profile, the vehicle measures 4,811mm in length, 1,879mm in width, and 1,648mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,836mm to ensure ample interior space.

Inside, the cabin features a cutting-edge, multi-display interface powered by the Horizon Robotics solution—a product of the Volkswagen-Horizon joint venture. At its core lies the Horizon Journey 6H chip, which delivers a robust computing power of up to 420 tera-operations per second (TOPS) and ensures a swift system response time of under 160 milliseconds. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with a high-precision 192-line LiDAR system, enhancing its advanced driver-assistance capabilities and solidifying its position as a leader in intelligent electric vehicles.
