On October 8, Dongchedi released a video showcasing the brake test results for the Zunjie V800. During the emergency braking tests, where three test vehicles decelerated from 100km/h to a complete stop, the brake pedal brackets on all vehicles fractured. This resulted in a loss of braking capability, leaving the vehicles to rely solely on the parking gear (P-gear) for emergency braking. The test revealed that the pedal force at the moment of fracture was 1612N, which falls below the national standard requirement of 2000N. In response, Zunjie Automobile stated that its development and verification standards for the brake system exceed both national and industry benchmarks, and emphasized that no such failures have been reported during actual vehicle use. The company committed to optimizing the design and offering free upgrades to users who have already received their vehicles. Meanwhile, JAC Motors has initiated an investigation into the matter. At present, discussions are ongoing regarding the test methodologies and the underlying causes of the fractures.
