According to TechCrunch, Uber and Chinese autonomous driving company Pony.ai plan to collaborate on launching a self-driving taxi service in London as part of their expanded deployment of autonomous vehicles in Europe. The two companies announced on October 8 that they will test Pony.ai's seventh-generation self-driving taxis in London in the coming weeks. This follows the deepening of their strategic partnership in August this year, with plans to deploy over 2,000 self-driving taxis across five European cities. Zagreb, Croatia, has already successfully launched commercial services as the first city.
