Recently, a grave traffic accident unfolded on Germany's Autobahn, renowned for its sections without speed limits. A Tesla Model S Plaid, hurtling at a staggering 286 km/h, lost control and flipped over. During the incident, the vehicle skidded to the roadside and all its airbags deployed. Despite the front end crumpling, the four wheels detaching, and the motor separating from the vehicle, the car's main frame preserved a survival space for the driver. The driver survived but sustained severe injuries, with a recovery period expected to span several months. The Tesla involved was a high-performance model boasting 1,020 horsepower and a triple-motor setup. Notably, the rear-wheel Goodyear tires were subject to a recall. The driver claimed that the accident was triggered by tire tread separation. However, he knowingly continued to drive at high speed despite being aware of the tire issues.
