According to a report by the tech website Not a Tesla App, a set of robot renderings in Tesla's Android app was recently leaked, suspected ( suspected should be translated as "suspectedly" in this context, but kept as is in the rendered HTML for accuracy to source) suspectedly showcasing the mass-production appearance of the third-generation humanoid robot, Optimus Gen 3. Compared to its predecessors, the new design features more coverage of exposed mechanical structures, such as a matte black fairing on the lower legs and a champagne gold torso, resulting in a more compact overall body outline. The Gen 3's hands boast 22 degrees of freedom, with functions close to those of human hands. Tesla has not yet announced its official release date, but the Fremont factory has already begun modifying its production lines with a target of producing 1 million units annually, while the Texas Gigafactory plans to produce 10 million units per year.
