As a leading exporter of technological advancements, China has emerged as a cornerstone for the steady functioning of the global automotive industry supply chain. Wan Gang, the Chairman of the World New Energy Vehicle Congress, remarked at the event that the global new energy vehicle industry has entered a stage of widespread adoption. Data reveals that in the first half of 2026, global sales of new energy vehicles soared to 11.234 million units, reflecting a 14% year-on-year increase, with the market penetration rate climbing to 24%. Cumulative global sales have surpassed 94 million units, with China contributing over 62 million units, thus cementing its pivotal role in the global market.
