On September 24, figures unveiled by the European Automobile Manufacturers Association revealed a notable uptick in new car registrations across the EU, European Free Trade Association, and the UK for August 2026. Specifically, registrations soared to 832,600 units, reflecting a robust 5.3% year-on-year growth compared to the 791,100 units recorded during the corresponding period the previous year. Furthermore, for the initial eight months of 2026, the cumulative tally of new car registrations in the region climbed to 9.1925 million units, showcasing a steady 5.8% increase over the same period last year.
