On September 16, the Tesla team arrived in Ningbo and, the very next day, embarked on a new phase of factory inspections geared towards the mass production of robots. Earlier, sources within the industry chain disclosed Tesla's intention to carry out factory inspections in September. The goal was to evaluate the exclusivity and uniformity of the mass production process for the Optimus robot, while also providing support to companies in equipment troubleshooting and facilitating the transfer of manufacturing expertise from U.S. facilities.

It has been reported that this current round of factory inspections will directly propel the mass production journey of the Optimus robot. Tesla has already dispatched pertinent orders to its supply chain partners. As per the outlined plan, Tesla anticipates manufacturing around 50,000 Optimus robots by 2026, with the intention of deploying them across Gigafactories globally. Nevertheless, it's important to note that the Optimus humanoid robot remains out of reach for the average consumer at this juncture.
