On September 15, Cailian Press reported that Huawei is set to revamp its smart vehicle collaboration model with Seres this week. Under the new arrangement, Huawei will adopt a light-asset approach, with Seres taking the helm in product development, marketing, sales, and service, while Huawei will continue to provide technical support. AITO will maintain its membership within the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance, and users' rights will remain intact. Notably, this adjustment will not impact other brands under the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance umbrella. The collaboration between Huawei and Seres commenced in 2021, and AITO has since emerged as the top-selling brand among Huawei's 'Five Brands'. As early as 2024, Seres has been actively pursuing the independence of its brand assets, including acquiring the AITO trademark and acquiring a stake in Yinwang. Following this adjustment, Seres is poised to gain greater autonomy, allowing Huawei to concentrate on technological innovation and ecosystem expansion.
