On September 3 (local time), Polestar, the Swedish car manufacturer under Geely Holding Group, filed its financial statements for the first half of 2026 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Polestar revealed that, as of June 30, the Bureau of Industry and Security's (BIS) decision had triggered around $130 million in adverse financial impacts. These impacts encompass vehicle residual value guarantees, the net value of U.S. inventory, and restructuring provisions concerning employees, suppliers, and partners. The company expects that as it continues to restructure its U.S. operations, additional negative adjustments may surface in relation to personnel and inventory.
