In the upcoming five-year span, Xiaomi has outlined an ambitious plan to pour 200 billion yuan into research and development (R&D) innovation. This announcement comes hand-in-hand with the launch of several groundbreaking core technology products, particularly in the realms of chips and intelligent vehicles. Regarding chips, Xiaomi has introduced the Xuanjie series, which caters to a diverse range of scenarios and establishes a comprehensive ecosystem spanning from consumer electronics to intelligent mobility solutions. For its intelligent vehicle segment, Xiaomi has developed the 'Kunlun' vehicle technology framework, achieving a systematic overhaul of its core components. This framework will initially be integrated into Xiaomi's new Pengcheng series vehicles, with plans to eventually extend its availability to the broader industry. Lei Jun emphasized that Xiaomi has remained steadfast in its chip R&D endeavors for over half a decade, with cumulative investments surpassing 21 billion yuan and a dedicated team of nearly 3,000 professionals. The Xuanjie series marks a significant milestone in Xiaomi's strategy of achieving 'dual breakthroughs in SoC (System on a Chip) and baseband technologies,' as the company continues to forge ahead in building its full-chain innovation capabilities.
