The unveiling of the official images for the Avatr Series 9 has ignited a lively debate over its exterior aesthetics. Chen Zhuo, the President of Avatr Technology, revealed that the brand is embracing a 'dual-track design' philosophy, planning to roll out both a Pioneer Series and a Flagship Series down the line. The Pioneer Series will carry forward the brand's current design ethos, whereas the Flagship Series will epitomize grandeur and opulence, with the Avatr Series 9 marking its inaugural entry. This large SUV, now in the public notification (official announcement) phase by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, boasts a six-seat configuration. Its front fascia draws inspiration from the 'Shang Ding Dragon Foot,' a nod to traditional Chinese motifs. As Avatr's maiden high-end flagship product born out of its 'comprehensive collaboration' with Huawei, the Avatr Series 9 is outfitted with Huawei's cutting-edge ADS 5, Huawei's XMC digital chassis technology, and Avatr's Taihang Intelligent Control technology. It also makes its debut with a novel intelligent super hybrid system. The premium variant marries a 2.0T hybrid engine with a tri-motor distributed electric drive setup, complemented by CATL's Xiaoyao super extended-range hybrid battery, delivering a maximum CLTC pure electric range surpassing 400 kilometers. The Avatr Series 9 is slated for an official rollout within the year.
