Under the guidance of the First Department of the Equipment Industry at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Technical Committee of Auto Standardization has undertaken the revision of the mandatory national standard titled "Safety Requirements for Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles." A draft version is now available and is currently open for public comments. This revision primarily addresses the integration of cutting-edge technologies, such as 70MPa high-pressure hydrogen storage systems, and tackles emerging challenges encountered during vehicle operation. It has enhanced crucial safety metrics, notably hydrogen emissions from the entire vehicle, and established well-developed safety technical requirements as mandatory standards. These measures aim to rectify deficiencies in hydrogen-related safety for the entire vehicle, ensuring a higher level of safety and reliability.
