On September 9, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) issued a notice stating that Chrysler will recall approximately 202,000 Jeep models from the 2024 to 2026 model years. The recall is due to a software error in the vehicles that may cause the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) to fail to detect low tire pressure or to illuminate the warning light as required. The recall involves multiple Jeep models, including the Wagoneer, Grand Cherokee, Grand Cherokee L, Grand Wagoneer, Cherokee, and some plug-in hybrid models. This issue may prevent drivers from promptly noticing low tire pressure, thereby increasing the risk of a collision.
