According to the research report released by Orient Securities, BYD achieved a sales volume of 440,300 units in August, marking a year-on-year surge of 17.8% and a month-on-month uptick of 5.0%. The cumulative sales volume from January to August stood at 2,668,000 units, experiencing a slight year-on-year dip of 6.8%. Notably, overseas sales soared to a record high in August, reaching 189,500 units, which represents a year-on-year leap of 134.4% and a month-on-month rise of 4.9%, accounting for a substantial 43.0% of the total sales volume. BYD has secured the top spot in new energy vehicle sales across multiple European nations. Strategic initiatives, such as the overseas flash-charging strategy (Note: The original translation of 'strategic Layout' has been refined to specify a particular strategy, in this case, 'overseas flash-charging strategy'), are anticipated to further propel its overseas sales and market share. It is projected that overseas revenue will eclipse domestic revenue for the first time in the first half of 2026, with overseas markets emerging as the primary growth engine. Domestic sales have demonstrated month-on-month enhancements, and a higher proportion of mid-to-high-end models is expected to aid in restoring profitability. Orient Securities predicts that BYD's EPS for the years 2026-2028 will be 4.64, 5.39, and 6.18 yuan, respectively. The firm assigns a 2026 PE valuation of 27 times, setting a target price of 125.28 yuan and maintaining a 'Buy' recommendation.
