On September 3, 2026, Tesla made a grand announcement and officially rolled out the Cybercab in Austin, USA. This groundbreaking model marks the world's first mass-produced vehicle specifically engineered for autonomous driving. Stripped of traditional controls such as a steering wheel, brake and accelerator pedals, and rearview mirrors, the Cybercab operates solely through Tesla's advanced FSD (Full Self-Driving) system. The Cybercab boasts a sleek two-door, two-seat configuration and is priced at an estimated <$30,000. However, in the near term, it will not be marketed to individual consumers; instead, the focus is on fleet operations. Presently, the Cybercab has commenced paid passenger services in select areas of Austin and is set to launch exhibition tours in multiple cities, including Beijing and Shanghai, in mid-September.
