On September 4, Changan Automobile released its production and sales data for August 2026. The company produced 178,100 vehicles that month, marking an 18.04% decrease compared to the same period last year. For the year-to-date, cumulative production reached 1,406,700 units, down by 13.09% year-on-year.

In terms of sales performance, Changan Automobile sold 196,800 vehicles in August, reflecting a 15.87% decline from the previous year. However, cumulative sales for the year still managed to reach 1,477,200 units, albeit with a 17.92% year-on-year decrease.

A standout figure from the report is the sales of new energy vehicles, which soared to 100,500 units in August, representing a significant 12.98% increase year-on-year. Additionally, overseas sales for the month amounted to 88,500 units. It's important to note that the aforementioned data encompasses the performance of subsidiaries, joint ventures, and associated enterprises, and represents preliminary statistical results.
