On September 4, reports emerged indicating that the service data from China's satellite navigation and positioning reference station network has officially initiated authorized operations. For the first time, the service data from Beidou reference stations nationwide is being shared and made publicly accessible. The Ministry of Natural Resources has stated that these authorized operations strictly adhere to the principles of safety, controllability, high quality, and efficiency. The initiative targets key industries and market entities, aiming to facilitate the compliant circulation of public data from reference stations and unlock the potential value of spatiotemporal data elements.

Chen Ming, Director of the Basic Surveying and Mapping Division at the Department of Territorial Surveying and Mapping under the Ministry of Natural Resources, highlighted that previously, the cost of establishing self-built stations across various industries was prohibitively high. Additionally, continuous investment was required for ongoing operation and maintenance. He emphasized that this new sharing and opening initiative effectively broadens the service applications for Beidou's high-precision data, benefiting sectors such as autonomous driving, the low-altitude economy, urban renewal, and refined governance.
