On September 3, preliminary statistics released by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) indicated that from August 1 to 31, the retail sales of new energy passenger vehicles across the country amounted to 1.069 million units. This figure represents a 4% decrease compared to the same period last year, yet it shows a 12% increase from the previous month. Since the start of this year, the cumulative retail sales of new energy passenger vehicles have totaled 6.737 million units, reflecting an 11% decline year-on-year. Concurrently, the wholesale volume of new energy passenger vehicles by manufacturers nationwide during the same period reached 1.506 million units, experiencing a 16% year-on-year increase and a 4% month-on-month rise. Cumulatively, since the beginning of the year, manufacturers of new energy passenger vehicles have shipped 9.754 million units, marking a 9% year-on-year growth.
