On September 1, Japan's four leading automakers unveiled their new vehicle sales figures for the U.S. market in August, revealing a collective total of 446,315 units—a modest 2.4% decline compared to the same period last year. Breaking down the numbers, Toyota recorded sales of 215,556 units, marking a 4.4% year-on-year decrease. In contrast, Honda experienced a slight uptick, selling 133,996 units, which translates to a 1.0% increase year-on-year. Subaru also saw growth, with sales reaching 62,028 units, up by 1.3% from the previous year. Meanwhile, Mazda faced a steeper decline, selling 34,735 units, an 8.9% drop compared to August of the preceding year.
