According to the official website of the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the State Administration for Market Regulation have recently jointly issued a set of guidelines. These guidelines, which are structured into four chapters and twenty articles, are designed to offer a comprehensive framework for compliance to Chinese automotive companies as they engage in overseas market competition and other business operations. They specifically provide general guidance on establishing compliance systems in key areas such as international marketing and competition, along with safety in production, quality control, labor protection, and data security. Following this development, several automakers, including Chery and BYD, have released statements in response.
