This challenge is on par with, if not more demanding than, executing an emergency stop at a blistering 130km/h. The low-speed AEB scenario is fraught with two primary hurdles: the first being the near-absence of braking redundancy space, and the second, the daunting diversity and intricate complexity of obstacles encountered.
Huawei's Qiankun Intelligent Driving CAS 5.0 has set its sights on achieving a 'full-speed' safety benchmark. Thanks to the incorporation of a newly added high-precision solid-state LiDAR, the forward AEB's effective range now extends all the way down to a crawling 1km/h. Concurrently, the lateral collision avoidance trigger speed has been fine-tuned to a mere 10km/h. This enhancement has been realized through the integration of sophisticated perception algorithms and rigorous training with real-world scenario data, ensuring comprehensive active safety coverage across the entire speed spectrum.
