On September 2, news emerged that FAW China, in partnership with the Eastern Institute of Technology, has made a substantial leap forward in the low-pressure operation technology for sulfide all-solid-state batteries. The pertinent research results were featured in the prestigious international journal Advanced Energy Materials, with the article titled "Ion Elastomer Interface Enables Low-Pressure, Highly Stable Solid-State Batteries." Through the creation of a composite interface that integrates mechanical flexibility with ionic conductivity, the study successfully enabled the solid-state battery to attain an initial capacity of 200mAh/g and sustain 700 stable cycles under a low pressure of 5MPa. This achievement liberates solid-state batteries from their traditional dependence on high external pressure. This breakthrough signifies a landmark advancement in China's core technology for the practical deployment of sulfide all-solid-state batteries, establishing a vital groundwork for the industrialization of all-solid-state batteries.
