On September 1, during NIO's Q2 2026 earnings call, Li Bin disclosed that nearly 60% of drivers using the Cedar model—which is equipped with NIO's in-house NX9031 chip—rely on intelligent assisted driving for over half of their daily mileage. NIO currently provides a complimentary five-year intelligent driving subscription to first-time car owners. Meanwhile, owners of second-hand NIO vehicles have the option to subscribe to this service, with the current subscription rate approaching 20%. As NIO's user base continues to grow, intelligent driving subscriptions are poised to become a substantial revenue stream for the company.
