On September 1, Qu Yu, CFO of NIO, stated at the interim results briefing that the company is facing significant cost pressures this year. Since March, costs for memory, bulk materials, and batteries have risen, with the average cost per vehicle in the second quarter increasing by approximately RMB 14,000 compared to the end of last year. Material costs may continue to rise in the second half of the year, with an expected increase of RMB 2,000-3,000. NIO aims to maintain the gross profit per vehicle for the third and fourth quarters at the level achieved in the second quarter.
