On September 1, it was reported that data released on Tuesday unveiled a disparity in Tesla's new vehicle registration trends across various European countries during August. Notably, the French and Danish markets witnessed robust growth, whereas Norway and Sweden encountered significant downturns. Specifically, figures from the French Automobile Manufacturers Association and the Danish automotive data platform Bilstatistik.dk indicated that Tesla's new vehicle registrations in France skyrocketed by 279% year-on-year in August, while Denmark experienced a substantial 104% increase. In contrast, data from the Norwegian Public Roads Administration and the Swedish automobile association Mobility Sweden revealed that Tesla's new vehicle registrations in Norway and Sweden plummeted by 79% and 41% year-on-year, respectively. This year, Tesla's sales in Europe have rebounded following two consecutive years of decline. The resurgence in sales can be attributed to a low base effect from the same period last year, escalating fuel prices, favorable government incentive policies, and a heightened consumer interest in electric vehicles.
