The company presented them with two choices: either sign a voluntary resignation agreement and receive half a month's salary as compensation or be reassigned to the assembly line. Following an investigation prompted by the intervention of the Changzhou Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, Xingyu issued an apology letter on August 27, announcing the suspension of its HR director. However, the company's labor union has remained silent on the matter. The affected graduates, who were forced out, lodged complaints through various avenues, including the reporting system for the supply chains of European automakers. Mercedes-Benz responded by asserting that Xingyu's actions were in violation of corporate principles and had been forwarded to the appropriate departments for thorough review. This response was in line with the EU's supply chain regulations, which hold brand owners accountable for the conduct within their supply chains.
