He noticed abnormal noises, a reduction in power, and a smoke-like gas emanating from both sides of the vehicle. Subsequently, the car broke down and had to be towed to a service center. Mr. Wang expressed his hope that Li Auto would offer a comprehensive explanation for the incident.

In response, Li Auto clarified that, following a thorough inspection, it was confirmed that the vehicle did not catch fire. The smoke observed was actually oil vapor, resulting from a lubricating oil leak in the rear reducer. In line with its lifetime warranty policy, the company replaced the affected assembly free of charge, and the vehicle has now been fully repaired.

The fault was identified as an occasional issue that can arise with mechanical components in the drivetrain after the vehicle has accumulated over 100,000 kilometers of use. It is influenced by various factors related to the vehicle's usage. The old parts have been sent back to the factory for disassembly and analysis, which confirmed that the issue was not due to improper use by the owner.

During the repair period, Li Auto also took steps to ensure Mr. Wang's convenience by providing him with alternative transportation options.
