According to Electrek, Waymo, the autonomous driving company under Google's parent company Alphabet, has announced that its new-generation self-driving taxi Ojai is now officially open for commercial operation to the public in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Phoenix. This vehicle is manufactured by Zeekr, a high-end electric vehicle brand under China's Geely Holding Group, and is built on Zeekr's SEA-M architecture, specifically designed for autonomous driving scenarios. Previously, Waymo had operated Ojai in limited quantities as a free experience, but now it has officially transitioned into the commercialization phase.
